Bobbing

Bobbing is an experimental project that starts from snoring, a familiar yet often overlooked bodily phenomenon. I focus on the repetitive rhythms of breathing during sleep and explore how these invisible movements can be made visible through clothing. Early experiments included documenting sleeping postures, using plastic bags to simulate the expansion and contraction of exhalation, and building devices that mechanically replicate breathing patterns. These studies informed the development of garment silhouettes and surface textures, combined with references to lung structures and pigment diffusion experiments on water. Pillow forms, closely associated with sleep, were introduced as structural and volumetric elements, appearing around the head, waist, and body.
